Google turned the site down for thin, repeated content. What I cut, what I merged, and where the review stands.

## The short version

- AdSense turned PDFCheck.online down on 8 September: replicated and low-value content.
- I cut and merged pages that promised more than the tool does.
- Asked Google again on 1 October. No answer recorded yet. Ad revenue: $0.

## The rejection

8 September 2026: AdSense said no. Reasons: replicated content and low-value content.

I wanted ad revenue from PDFCheck.online, a PDF tool that runs in the browser. The obvious fix was to write more pages. I checked what the existing pages promised first.

Google's [site-readiness guidance](https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7299563) asks for original content, a useful experience and clear navigation. Its [content guidance](https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/10015918) says copied or lightly reworked pages don't count. Neither gives a recipe, so I used them as a checklist against the actual product.

## What I found

The site promised things the tool didn't do. Google was right.

1. A "download for macOS" page linked to a 404. It's a waitlist now.
1. Several landing pages did the same conversion. Merged into one.
1. Pages for formats the tool couldn't open. Deleted.

## Copy that said too much

The risky copy was the confident copy: claims a report couldn't actually prove.

#### Easy to over-promise

- Metadata tells you who wrote a PDF
- A signature object means a trusted signer
- A few checks certify accessibility

#### What it can actually say

- Metadata names the software that made the file
- A signature object exists; trust is a separate check
- Some accessibility indicators pass or fail

I compared every tool guide with the code behind it. Each guide now covers what you can do, what you get back and what the result can't prove.

When I checked on 9 October, the homepage called its indicators clues, not proof of authorship. That's weaker marketing and a more useful tool.

## The math on pages

AI makes a new page cost seconds. Keeping its promise costs forever.

Every extra landing page is one more chance to be found and one more promise to maintain. A new page now has to earn its place with an original example, a clear method or a better explanation.

Drafts also stay drafts. A generated page or translation doesn't go public until it's reviewed against evidence.

## Asking Google again

1 October: review requested and accepted. Ads stayed off.

1. **8 Sep** Rejected
1. **September** Audited every page
1. **1 Oct** Asked again
1. **Now** No decision recorded

_ Diagram The timeline so far._

#### Done

Review requested. Automatic ads off. Advertising blocked behind an essential-cookie notice.

#### Waiting

Google's decision. A public check on 9 October showed the site still saying advertising cookies are off.

#### Not done

Consent paths verified for ads. That's its own job before anything gets switched on.

## Would I do it again at $0?

Yes. Every change helps a visitor even if Google says no again.

Clearer guides, fewer unsupported claims and an honest waitlist. I went looking for a revenue channel and came back with a better answer to what PDFCheck.online should promise. When the decision lands, it goes in the next report with the date.

## Where it stands 12 October 2026

#### Done

- Duplicate landing pages merged
- Pages for unsupported formats removed
- Dead download turned into a waitlist
- Review requested 1 October

#### Not done

- No AdSense decision recorded
- Ads are off

#### Next

Check the decision and report it with the date.

## Receipts

1. AdSense rejection, replicated and low-value content: 8 September 2026 (private account record; no screenshots published).
1. Review request accepted: 1 October 2026. Automatic ads off at that point.
1. Homepage disclosure that advertising cookies are off: public check, 9 October 2026.
1. Google guidance: [site readiness](https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7299563), [content and experience](https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/10015918).

If a fact changes, I add a dated correction here.
