The email list
If you sign up, I store your email address, the time you signed up and the version of the consent text you accepted. I use it for the weekly recap and occasional build notes. Signing up doesn't create an account or make your email public, and I don't sell the list.
The list is kept in a private Cloudflare D1 database that only authorised people can access. Nothing is sent automatically when you sign up. Before any newsletter goes out, the sending setup will include an unsubscribe link in every email. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing hello@aimantas.com. If no email has gone to the list within 12 months, I'll review it and delete the addresses that are no longer needed.
If you joined on the coming-soon page, you agreed to launch news and occasional build notes. You'll get those. The weekly recap needs your separate yes, which you can give by signing up again here.
Visit counts
I count visits with Plausible, a cookie-free analytics tool, self-hosted on our own server. It records the page, the referring site, campaign tags in links (utm_ parameters), browser, operating system, device type and country. It doesn't set cookies, doesn't build profiles and doesn't store your IP address. Your signup email is never sent to analytics.
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site doesn't load analytics at all. Counts can miss blocked visits, so treat them as an estimate. The numbers I publish are aggregates, such as visitors per day and top countries.
Week 1 numbers (13 to 19 October 2026) came from GoatCounter, which counted page views, approximate unique visits, referring sites, browsers and countries, also without cookies. This site is moving from GoatCounter to Plausible.
What your browser keeps
If you pick light or dark mode, your browser remembers the choice in local storage. It never leaves your device.
Hosting and abuse prevention
Cloudflare serves the site and processes request data, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. The signup service keeps a temporary keyed hash of the requesting IP for rate limiting, never the raw IP. Each record is only valid for an hour and is deleted on a later signup after it expires. Cloudflare's privacy policy covers its part.

Articles link to documentation, products and tools on other sites. Those sites have their own policies.
